67 Months: Jan 8, 2020

By January 9, 2020 Journey

“Someone I loved once gave me a box full of darkness.  It took me years to understand that this too, was a gift.”

— MARY OLIVER

Sometimes you see them when you least expect it. Other times you feel the weight growing heavy, and you wait ever so tenuously, hoping that something will disrupt grief’s random trajectory. Of all the weeks when I should have felt light this was one, for it was filled with travel and joyful events. Yet I got to this day of the month that I so faithfully mark with a heavy soul. So I looked at my trove of pictures until I found one to remind myself that, if I am patient, I will once again be surprised with what is quietly waiting for me to discover.

Goosebumps, as always. Hope you all had a good holiday and trip. I’d love to share this with the Iron Butterflies Project FB group if it’s ok. Just let me know and I’ll share the link. As always, big hugs.
