53 Months: Nov 8, 2018

“There was never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope.”

— BERNARD WILLIAMS

Sometimes deliberately and sometimes by divine force, I find my way to a sunrise.  While others may opine about the beauty of the sunset, which of course is true, it is the sunrise that calms my soul. I have sat with both these past 53 months, looking for meaning, searching for answers.  I find neither. Not in the dawn, nor the dusk.  And while I find beauty in both, it is in the diversity of each morning’s beauty that I find solace.  It is as if, with each new sunrise, the universe is reminding me that it is vast and mysterious and that my place in it is infinitesimal, my only job being to appreciate the coming day.

It’s ‘that’ time of year again….and we will once again attend The Nutcracker – not only memory of all the years we watched Sophie grow from one role to another – but in honor of our love for you, Mike, Max and all your loving family. We miss all of you more than you can ever imagine.
