“Grief is in two parts. The first is loss. The second is the remaking of life.”
— ANNE ROIPHE
The steady march of time stands in contrast to the random path of grief, with grief crossing back and forth seemingly on a whim but never disrupting time’s progress. Life moves in parallel with time, it too refusing to be halted by grief. It has been 41 months and I am slowly awakening to the fact that life is starting to outpace grief. Not always, but life is persistent. And I know that it is your ever-present passion for life that will never let me give up. My love for you is eternal. My life is carried forward by that love.
Dear Lisa
